Schools/Education-Special Education Teacher Mod/Severe

Join our team as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Mod/Severe needs, where you will make a significant impact on the lives of students with autism.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a caseload of around 10 students in a SLS/Autism Center-Based program
• Train and support 5-6 paraprofessionals in the classroom
• Utilize AAC devices and visual supports to enhance student learning
• Write and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide specialized instruction to K-5 students with autism or similar needs
• Complete CPI training within the first 90 days

What we need to see

• Minimum of 1 year of experience serving children with ASD
• Experience in a SLS environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Experience managing and training paraprofessionals
• Experience utilizing AAC devices and visual supports
• Experience working with non-verbal students
