Lead Lactation Consultant - DH

Join our team as a Lead Lactation Consultant, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing patient care and education in lactation.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with lactation consultants to provide patient care and education
• Oversee regulatory processes related to human donor milk
• Manage program submissions for the organization's Baby-Friendly designation
• Plan and evaluate lactation orientation and in-service programs
• Organize patient education classes and outpatient lactation resources
• Collect and analyze data related to infant feeding and best practices
• Provide direct patient care as a staff nurse as needed
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives

What we need to see

• Registered Nurse licensed in New York
• Lactation Consultant Certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of nursing, lactation, and medical practice experience
• Knowledge of current nursing, lactation, medical and health trends and practices
• ACLS certification within 180 days
• NRP certification within 180 days
