Physical Therapy Assistant - OP - DH

Join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you'll provide essential care and support to patients of all ages in a dynamic outpatient setting.

What you'll be doing

• Provide skilled treatment for functional mobility, motor function, and muscular strengthening
• Follow a plan of care with measurable functional goals considering patient needs
• Document services in compliance with APTA guidelines and billing standards
• Educate patients and families to promote independence upon discharge
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Participate in educational programs and quality improvement initiatives

What we need to see

• Graduate of a nationally-accredited PTA program
• BLS certification required before employment begins
• Eligibility for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board
• Preferred experience of greater than one year in outpatient physical therapy, but new graduates are welcome

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Experience in hospital-based outpatient physical therapy
• Ability to flex into inpatient MS-Rehab unit
