Respiratory Therapist - DH

Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to patients.

What you'll be doing

• Provide respiratory therapy to in-patients and outpatients
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess and plan patient care
• Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, both invasive and non-invasive
• Conduct breathing therapy and patient assessments
• Perform postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene techniques
• Carry out blood gas puncture and analysis, including equipment maintenance
• Respond to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations, performing CPR
• Demonstrate competency in emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients

What we need to see

• Associate Degree from an AMA approved program for Respiratory Therapy
• Active license from the New York State Board of Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC-RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to transport and lift heavy medical gas cylinders
• Effective communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
