Histotechnician - DH

Join our team as a Histotechnician, where you'll play a crucial role in producing high-quality pathology slides for expert review.

What you'll be doing

• Perform histological technical procedures using manual and automated techniques
• Maintain records of laboratory tests and proficiency testing samples
• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and document quality control activities
• Evaluate and confirm routine and special stains for accuracy
• Manage inventory of lot numbers, expiration dates, and QC requirements
• Participate in regulatory readiness and maintain continuing education credits
• Escalate issues with samples, equipment, or testing to supervisors and pathologists

What we need to see

• Current NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License or NYS PA License
• At least 1 year of relevant hospital experience in Histology

• Degree in Medical Technology or related science
• ASCP Certification
