Lactation Consultant -- DH

Join our team as a Lactation Consultant, where you'll provide essential care and support to mother-baby dyads in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

What you'll be doing

• Assess lactation needs and plan care for mother-baby dyads
• Provide education and instruction to parents in classroom settings
• Facilitate patient education classes and outpatient lactation resources
• Ensure compliance with Human Donor Milk processes and regulatory standards
• Participate in data collection for Baby Friendly initiative
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient care
• Develop and implement lactation orientation and in-service programs
• Provide direct patient care as a staff RN as needed

What we need to see

• Active New York State Board of Nursing license
• IBCLC certification upon hire
• BSN degree
• BLS certification upon hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment
• NRP certification required within 6 months of employment
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
