Chief Technologist Cytology - DH

Join our team as a Chief Technologist in Cytology, where you will lead and enhance our cytology practices while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain records as per regulatory agency requirements
• Write, revise, and maintain SOPs for the policy and procedure manual
• Assist in cytology aspiration procedures across various departments
• Screen gynecological and non-gynecological cases daily
• Sign out cases with the Pathologist according to schedule
• Prepare, stain, and coverslip cytology specimens as needed
• Schedule and supervise per diem coverage
• Prepare and submit quality control/quality assurance reports

What we need to see

• New York State Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology license
• ASCP certification or certified cytology school degree
• ThinPrep Certification
• At least 3 years of experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and fine needle aspirations
• Lead/supervisory level cytology experience

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Familiarity with the Bethesda system for Cytology reporting
• Experience with frequent use of computers and laboratory equipment
