DH - Cytotechnologist

Join our team as a Cytotechnologist, where you'll play a crucial role in the screening and assessment of cytology specimens.

What you'll be doing

• Screen gynecological and non-gynecological cases daily
• Assist with preparation, staining, and cover slipping of cytology specimens
• Support intra-operative assessments in various clinical settings
• Sign out cases with the Pathologist according to schedule
• Label and verify Cytology stained slides against requisitions
• Maintain and clean cytology equipment and supplies
• Process send out samples and maintain records as per regulations
• Participate in departmental activities as directed

What we need to see

• Bachelor's degree in ASCP Registry or from a Certified Cytology School
• Certification by the New York State Board of Clinical Laboratory Technology
• At least 3 years of experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens
• ASCP certification as an International Medical Laboratory Scientist
